Petra Caruana Dingli writes a regular column on current affairs for the Sunday Times of Malta and a blog for the online edition of the Times of Malta. She is senior lecturer at the Edward de Bono Institute for the Design and Development of Thinking at the University of Malta. She also lectures within the Faculty of Arts, and the International Institute for Baroque Studies at the University. She read English, Sociology and Philosophy at the University of Malta. She holds a doctorate from the University of Oxford and an MBA in general and strategic management from Maastricht.
Dr Caruana Dingli (formerly Bianchi) has held the posts of director for environmental protection at the Malta Environment and Planning Authority, country director of the British Council in Malta, and executive president of the environment and heritage NGO Din l-Art Helwa. She is deputy director of the think-tank Today Public Policy Institute.
Petra Caruana Dingli had a long-standing personal friendship with Daphne Caruana Galizia, spanning over a period of close to thirty years.
